Deanery of Colchester ShieldNorth Colchester Family of Churches Commissioning Service

The North Colchester Family of Churches will be the first Mission and Ministry Unit (MMU) to 'go live' in the Colchester Deanery, linking the following parishes: Myland, Colchester St. Luke, West Bergholt, Great Horkesley, Langham and Boxted, Wormingford, Mount Bures and Little Horkesley.

On Sunday 8th July, 6pm, a special commissioning service for this MMU will take place at St. Michael's Church when we will be delighted to welcome The Right Reverend Roger Morris, Bishop of Colchester, and The Venerable Annette Cooper, Archdeacon of Colchester, as well as ministers and church members from all the above parishes and beyond.  Everyone is welcome!

We give thanks for this new linking and pray that God will bless it and the fellowships it brings.

Purple pansyA Royal Morning

The morning of Saturday 19th May was pretty busy not only for the now Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but also for St. Michael's Church.

Many people joined us to enjoy a cuppa and delicious cakes while watching the Royal Wedding before popping across to the halls to buy stock for their gardens at our annual plant sale.

Thank you to all who supported this event. We raised over £600.
