Heartfelt thanks

Here at St. Michael's we are so grateful for all that we received last year.

Thank you to our clergy team for all the services throughout the year, and for their ongoing care, leadership and guidance.

Thank you as well to everyone who helps to ensure that the activities and ministry of the Church run smoothly, including the PCC; the churchwardens and their team; the church and halls cleaners, flower arrangers and those who help to maintain our buildings; our church organists/keyboard players and singers/band; St. Michael's puppet ministry; the various group, club and event organisers; the vergers; the sidespersons and refreshment teams; our office administrator and those who help and support her, the Halls Management Team ....and to everyone who gives so much in so many different ways.

We are truly blessed!

Christmas

Thank you to everyone who helped out, supported and joined us at the various events and services during the Christmas season. We were delighted to welcome many new faces as well as our regular congregation members.

Operation Christmas Child

Over 140 shoeboxes were received for the Operation Christmas Child Appeal at our special service held in November. Thank you to everyone for your enormous generosity.

St. Michael's visits Westminster

On 23 November, members of St. Michael's Church and friends enjoyed a tour of the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament).

Our guide, Will QSt. Michael's group with Will Quinceuince, Member of Parliament for Colchester, entertained us with fascinating facts and anecdotes about the history of the building and the activities of its occupants as we explored the beautiful palace and the House of Commons and House of Lords Chambers.

A huge thank you to Will (and his team) for such an immensely enjoyable tour and for taking time out of his busy schedule to share the wonder of Westminster with us.
