Easter EggsReflection, fun and celebration

Easter at St. Michael's is always a special time; one in which we rejoice in all the blessings promised to us by trusting in God and following His Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. From quiet reflection of Christ's suffering on the cross and a contemplative vigil of fire and light, to the fun of our Easter Egg Treasure Hunt and joyful Easter Sunday service, this year's Easter celebrations were enjoyed by adults and children of all ages.

Thank you to everyone who helped out with and joined us at the various activities and services.

In particular, we all appreciate, but rarely is it mentioned, the work Reverend Ray Gibbs and his team do for our church; so we give a big thank you to them for their inspiration, guidance and ministry. Thank you as well to all of you who give so generously of your time and money to support and help St. Michael's. We are truly blessed!

As always our Easter Egg Treasure Hunt was a popular community event. After a lovely church service, close to 80 children embarked on a treasure hunt around Myland, followed by refreshments in Myland Parish Halls organised and served by M.U. Myland. Thank you Jenny, Sarah, the M.U. and all the volunteers for making it such a fun event.

A huge thank you to the M.U. Myland for preparing and serving the Lent Hunger Lunches again this year, as well as to everyone who contributed so generously to the collection for Christian Aid. We are delighted to say that well over £500 was raised.
