Prayer Meetings

Prayer is vital; prayer is the way we attune our lives to the will of God.

Therefore, we pray before our services - a group meet to pray together in Church before the service starts. Then, obviously, we pray in all our services!

In addition, on the first Sunday of each month our main service of the week includes an opportunity to receive prayer and laying on of hands for wholeness and healing.

In our midweek morning services - whether Morning Prayer or Holy Communion - we include a time of prayer specifically for those who have asked us to do so. If you would like your name or that of someone you know added to our prayer list, please send us an e-mail or ring us. You may also like a name included on our prayernet.

Regular prayer meetings are also held in various homes around the parish; please see our calendar for details. The meetings have many purposes; sometimes for the geographical area of the parish where they are held, or for specific situations, for people, or for God’s blessing on the parish and the Church. We can all pray individually at home of course - yet Jesus promises that when two or three are gathered together, He will grant their requests (Matthew 18:20).

May we urge you to pray, and pray also for more prayer!
